Designers at the Vanguard are involved in developing page layouts, graphics, and the occasional illustration. The newsroom is a dynamic environment, so designers must be flexible with their work and capable of designing quickly. This is a paid position. Hours range from 10–20 a week. The ideal candidate will have passed the Sophomore Portfolio Review and be well versed in Adobe InDesign CS5 with a strong background in page design.
