JOB TITLE: Social Marketing Intern ORGANIZATION: Alicia Nagel Creative, LLC (ANC) Application deadline: September 2nd Start date: Late September TBD
POSITION PURPOSE: To manage ANC’s social media sites and write content (Twitter, FB, LI, blog, etc.) in order to assist the company with increased market presence, while enabling an opportunityhands-on experience for a marketing student, under theguidance of an experienced professional.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Research, recommend and implement a strategy to use social media for ANC new business efforts.• Align strategy by identifying ANC’s target audience, developing topic recommendations, generating promotion and campaign ideas, and outlining processes for execution.• Manage ANC’s social media sites and content. This includes tweeting daily, setting up FB page, advising on FB posts, identifying LI Q’s to answer, identify social media groups to join andindividuals to link with.• Work with business owner to develop blogging strategy and setup to launch blog in 2012. Conduct competitive research, target audience assessment, topic recommendations, maintenance schedule,and development of a suggested list of bloggers for ANC to follow.• May also include market research, promotional tactics research, materials production research asassigned for ANC clients.• Maintenance plan and recommendations report so that social media can be managed by businessowner (or next intern) at end of internship.• Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:• Knowledge and experience of social media channels including: Twitter, Facebook, Linkdin andothers.• Professional communication skills both written and oral. Some office work experience preferred.• Marketing, Advertising and SEO experience. Seeking a student with a strong understanding o fmarketing concepts and an interest in design. Strong multitasking ability.• Preference given to students with 2 years educational and/or professional marketing experience.• Ability to self-motivate and work independently. Preferred: use of personal laptop and smart phonewith the flexibility to work offsite or on-site.
WORK SCHEDULE: Sept. 1 but start date negotiable – ANC to coordinate with student’s schedule. 8-10hours a week. Schedule is flexible and can be accommodated to students course schedule.
MONETARY COMPENSATION: Stipend of between $250-400 at the end of the internship, depending onexperience, plus college credit. Compensation will be subject to school’s internship policies.
ACADEMIC CREDIT: Students may apply for internship credit through their university. Student to provideANC with any requirements before starting that need to be met in order for them to receive credit.
