Exciting news! Ethan Allen Smith is running for ASPSU President! You probably have seen Ethan around the art annex talking, laughing it up and also making really lovely and thoughtful work. Let's get an effective communicator on ALL levels (visual and verbal) into the ASPSU President role.
Part of Ethan's platform is focused on strengthening the student groups on campus.
From his statement of candidacy:
My name is Ethan Allen Smith and I am looking forward to serving you as your student body President. As a Portland native, I love this city and this university. When my wife and I made the decision to return to college, we knew there was no better place to earn a degree in Graphic Design than from Portland State University. When I transferred from PCC, I was instantly impressed by the enthusiasm and dedication of the students and faculty on this campus. I am on the board of the Friends of Graphic Design student group. I also became involved in ASPSU almost immediately, where I have had the privilege of serving as a Senator, President pro-tempore, and currently as Vice President. My long term goal is to become a professor of graphic design, so it has been a wonderful opportunity to work closely with PSU Students and this administration.
