ADX is a great new space opening up in Portland, and they're having an open house NEXT Wednesday, March 23rd! Check them out!

We're thrilled to offer members of Portland's creative community a sneak peek into ADX, a new collaborative art and design workspace located in the heart of the Central Eastside Industrial District. 

 

Please join us for an open house event:

Wednesday, March 23 from 6-8pm.

 

 

We'll be giving tours our warehouse space, where you can learn more about our various workspaces, opportunities, resources, and tools. Catch up with staff, sign up for promotional rates, and enjoy a Ninkasi beer, Brew Dr. Kombucha, and a slice of Lonesome's Pizza on us. We look forward to seeing you here and sharing our exciting new project!

 

ADX is located at 417 SE 11th Avenue, between Oak and Stark streets.

 

 

ABOUT ADX:

Equal parts workspace and incubator, our membership-based 10,000SF facility unites a number of creative disciplines under one roof, giving the community an accessible, collaborative, affordable site for creative work. From wood and metal shops, to co-working desks, to private art studios (housed in swanky vintage travel trailers), ADX’s amenities offer the opportunity for designers of all stripes to explore their craft, prototype products, and enlist the support of industry experts. ADX also provides a diverse schedule of classes and a range of programming. Members can choose between hourly, daily, and monthly use of the wood shop, metal shop, and other production areas.

Feast Your Eyes! Holly Wales

London designer, illustrator and educator Holly Wales' portfolio is chock-full of awesome. She's a prime example of the importance of being a multi-disciplinary, well-rounded designer. 

Her client list includes BBC, Design Week, Deutsche Bank, Fallon, Financial Times, Frieze, Nestle, The Guardian, The Independent on Sunday, The New York Times, Royal College of Art, The Telegraph, Uniqlo, Urban Outfitters and Waterstones. She also illustrates a regular weekly column, “Lives” for The New York Times Magazine. 

Her eye for detail and vibrant color-palette make her work both dynamic and playful.

She also helped to establish a collaborative studio for screen-printers, illustrators and designers called OPEN in East London (check it out, it's so rad) that focuses on combining education and entrepreneurship within an illustration and design discipline.

Lemme' just say, this site is sweeeeeet. Personally, I find the user interface to be way more efficient and just plain nice to look at.
