SCRAP
SCRAP stands for “School and Community Resource Action Project” and it is your new favorite art supply store. If you’re running low on cash but have high hopes for your next creative project, SCRAP is a wonderful resource. SCRAP secures office and art supply donations from local companies and organizations and makes it available at very low prices. It is a hodgepodge of carpet samples, surplus coffee sleeves, slightly used paint, balls of yarn, and giant rolls of paper. Go with an open mind, and you’ll leave with an armload (or more) of supplies.

Great for:
Many things! They get a variety of donations every day, so the selection always varies. Very good for:
- cheap craft supplies (like yarn, cloth, felt, paint, etc.)
- old magazines
- a variety of paper
- wood, glass, plastic
- random stickers and found photos
- inspiration for your next art project
Prices:
VERY CHEAP! Most things are under a dollar, and they offer grab bags for up to a few dollars. Last time I went, they were offering barely used Dwell magazines for 25 cents each.
Usually doesn't carry:
Things in pristine condition. Most of this stuff has been handled and used. However, if you’re lucky you’ll find some mint condition supplies.
