Social Networking and Web Content Developer for Campus Rec
This position is an important branch of the CREC marketing team and requires someone with cutting edge initiative. For example, we are constantly moving forward with the concept of using less paper, utilizing more interactive forms of communication, and changing traditional forms of media into more efficient structures.

DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES

Update
Departmental Website Content
·
Develop and
maintain a schedule of events for the home page (changes
weekly/biweekly
depending on demand)
·
Update and
manage syndicated content (events/news/profiles/etc)
·
Be proactive
in gathering new material for all web sources connected to Campus Rec
·
Manage
various forms of networking attached to the
main website
·
Create and
refresh social networking sources (facebook/twitter/youtube/etc)
·
Collaborate
with the marketing team to initiate social networking invitations
·
Produce photo
and video information for and about Campus Rec programs
·
Contribute/aid
in overall marketing efforts
·
Schedule
weekly/biweekly meetings with program coordinators
·
Attend weekly
or bi weekly marketing meetings
·
Email weekly
updates to marketing coordinator
·
Maintain
email account with a 24 hour response to staff inquiries
·
Attend
all-staff meetings/trainings when necessary

TYPICAL
WORKING HOURS
Typically office hours
are open from 9am – 4pm Monday through Friday.
Office hours will be constructed by term with the input and
preference
of all members of the marketing team and department needs.
Office hours will be decided at the end of
each term for the following term preferably at the marketing meeting. This position, due do its nature, may require
work from events or home or at other random times for social marketing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Maintain
minimum enrollment (6 credits for undergraduates, 5 credits for
graduate) for three out of four terms in the year

Minimum 2.0
(3.0 for graduate) grade point average and maintain good
academic standing throughout employment

·
Demonstrated
knowledge of facebook/twitter/youtube (or similar)

Demonstrated
ability to write clearly and concisely with accurate
spelling and punctuation

and knowledge with html code
and/or drupal

Thorough
understanding of various forms of social networking
